When should you start using anti-aging products?


Most of the time, when we hear phrases like "skin care routine," it's easy to feel a little overwhelmed. For those of us approaching our golden years, we're starting to ask ourselves "when should we start using anti-aging products?" Is it too soon, or worse, too late? Read on to find out what happens to our skin as we age and the products we can use to combat it.


What happens to the skin as we age?


As we age, gradual changes occur in the skin - this is inevitable. There are changes beneath the surface of the skin, as the collagen and elastic fibers in our skin begin to degrade and wear away, causing the skin to sag a little and wrinkle. Furthermore, as we age, our skin becomes thinner, giving it a papery appearance, which increases the visibility of blood vessels.


How do anti-aging products help?


Anti-aging products can help the skin in many ways, from preventing the formation of wrinkles, to reducing dark spots and even tightening the skin; Anti-aging creams and serums can really work wonders, especially if you start using them relatively early. It is recommended that you start using anti-aging products between the ages of 20 and 30, but the golden rule is to start using sunscreen from the age of 20, as this can help prevent skin aging from an early age.
