How to find the ideal fragrance for you?

Como encontrar a fragrância ideal para si?

What is a fragrance?

A fragrance is defined as “(...) a combination of organic compounds that produce a distinct smell or odor”. By exploring different combinations of aromas, a fragrance is capable of reflecting a personality or style.
This is why everyone has different tastes when it comes to purchasing a perfume.
When choosing a perfume, what you should consider are the fragrance families.

Fragrance Family

It may seem like a complex name, but actually identifying the family of a fragrance is quite simple.
There are 4 main fragrance families:

  • Fresh- This family is defined by aromatic and stimulating compositions such as citrus.
  • Floral- The floral scent family is one of the most popular among consumers. Used in many world-famous perfumes, it usually takes on a feminine characteristic in the fragrance.
  • Woody - The wood family includes warm and sophisticated aromas, mixing incense fragrances such as sandalwood and patchouli with drier notes such as cedar.
  • Amber - The amber family of scents includes herbs, spices, and notes of dry powdered resin. Amber scents can be described as "sensual", warm and "exotic".
